7 Clones &
2 Rootstocks

We maintain almost 8000 plants over roughly 8 acres. All our grapes are of the pinot noir variety, but the different clones provide different tannins and flavors.

  • Clone 667 is grown on rootstock 3309. We grow approximately 1085 plants in 23 rows. The reason there are so many rows is that some rows are quite short, dictated by the local terrain.

  • Our Calera is grown on rootstock 3309. We grow approximately 985 plants in 10 rows.

  • Also known as FPS04, our Pommard' ‘04 is grown on 101-14 rootstock. We grow approximately 1060 plants in 8 rows.

  • Our 777 clone is grown is on 3309 rootstock. We grow approximately 2090 plants in 15 rows. The 777 clone is the largest planting of a single clone.

  • Our 115 clone grows on 3309 rootstock. We grow approximately 1030 plants in 7 rows.

  • Our 828 clone grows on 101-14 rootstock. We grow approximately 1085 plants in 8 rows.

  • Our 943 clone grows on 3309 rootstock. We grow approximately 520 plants in 7 rows. The 943 clone is the smallest planting of a single clone on our estate.

When growing wine grapes, it’s important to have a consistent water retention, tannin and flavor for all the clusters in a batch. This is why vintners use the technique of cloning to grow a consistent and reliable product.

8 Acres of
Pinot Noir Grapes

Our privately-owned estate is a working vineyard, which means we’re always improving on our process, and our quality, year over year. Facing southwest, our grapes grow at an elevation of 780-860 feet, depending on where you’re standing. We grow roughly 1,000 vines of each clone, which amounts to about 7-10 rows of vines each.
