Winemaking

Our wine is produced by a longtime California winemaker who first got into the wine industry in Sonoma County working for Rodney Strong Vineyards in 1994.

Las Nietas 2013 Pinot Noir is crafted from a combination of Dijon clone estate grown grapes in the Corralitos region of the Santa Cruz Mountains where our vineyard is located.

When it comes to high quality wine making, patience is a virtue. Our Pinot was barrel aged for nine months in 70% neutral and 30% new French oak.

This delicate Pinot Noir exudes dark cherry fruit and earthy undertones with a smooth velvety finish reminiscent of Old World wines. We think it will remind you of much more expensive burgundies.
